At the time of my accident I felt very low and didn’t have the energy or willingness to do anything. I was referred to therapy and at first I was sceptical and didn’t want to attend as I didn’t think there would be anything I could get from talking about what had happened in my accident. I attended my first session and I still wasn’t open to the idea of talking to a stranger but my therapist instantly made me feel at ease and I came out of the session feeling very positive.

As each week went on I had a 1 hour therapy session where my therapist would give me home work to do that would help me overcome my low mood, stress and anxiety . I made sure that I always listened to exactly what my therapist told me to do and used the techniques that she had recommended which again at first I was sceptical about but following this definitely helped me. I have completed 10 sessions of therapy and I am not a different person all together and it’s like I have got my life back. Before therapy I hated driving or being on the motorway and now I enjoy it just as much as before the accident.

Overall my experience with my therapist Elizabeth has been amazing and she had helped me deal with my PTSD full on and beat it. My friends and family can see a massive difference in my mood and they have all commented on this.
