There is a wealth of helpful material available for anyone interested in CBT.  Getting hold of books written by reputable CBT therapists can be a tremendously useful way to get a head start in therapy. You can learn a lot about the different features of the problem that you want to work on and read about techniques that may be used in therapy. This will help you to gain a quicker understanding of how they work and why they are used and also mean that you can collaborate with your therapist to develop therapy that is suited to you from the beginning.
